The life of being sedentary
A sedentary lifestyle consists of little or no physical activity throughout the day. People who live sedentary lives typically sit or lie down while engaging in low intensity activities such as: watching television, working on a computer or phone, playing video games, sleeping, and more. Did you know that the government's physical activity guidelines recommend Americans to get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each week? Unfortunately, less than half of Americans meet this standard. Those who do not engage in daily physical activities may suffer from a wide range of adverse effects such as: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, depression & anxiety, loss of flexibility, insomnia, and much more.

"Research suggests that only 21% of adults are meeting the physical activity guidelines, while less than 5% perform 30 minutes of physical activity per day"
