a sedentary life & diabetes

A sedentary life is more common nowadays with the increased sitting time, TV watching, and social media. One must actively plan and participate in physical activities in order to remain healthy, and lower the risk of disease, mortality, and Type 2 diabetes.

Living with Type 2 diabetes is when the body does not produce, or use insulin well. It requires insulin shots multiple times a day, and one must monitor what they consume in order to remain healthy. As one heavily gains weight, eventually leaning towards obesity, insulin resistance progresses as fat accumulates within the liver and pancreas. Following this, there is a progressive decline in beta cell function, where Type 2 diabetes shortly follows.

Knowing this information, one should take control of their life and engage in many different activities that spark their interest. Not only are activities beneficial for your health, but they can also introduce new individuals that may become some of your closest friends.  Improve your health while also creating new friendships!
